Aquatrainer Tips - Frequently asked questions

faqs

What advantages does the Aqua Trainer have over a conventional swimming pool?

  • It takes up much less space
  • Allows you to enjoy an effective, satisfying swim without the need to complete tedious lengths
  • Includes an integral spa
  • Can be used all year round
  • Can be installed in a variety of locations that do not require expensive excavation work
  • Is pre-assembled ready for immediate installation on a suitable site
  • Requires much less maintenance
  • Retains its heat more efficiently
  • Can be taken with you if you move home

Is it hard to swim in an Aqua Trainer?

No. It normally takes just a few seconds to learn to 'swim against the current' and it's easy to adjust the flow to a strength that suits you.

Is it safe for children?

Yes. Children will love it. However, as with any pool, small children should only be allowed in or near the swim spa under close supervision.

Can two people swim at the same time?

Whilst more than one person can comfortably relax in your Aqua Trainer with the swim current turned off, we wouldn't recommend more than one person swimming with the current turned on as every individual's ability and stamina level is different making it difficult to set a current speed to suit both users.

Can I get trapped in the current?

No. As the current is confined to the centre of the pool, all you have to do is take a step sideways to return to calm water.

Where can I try an Aqua Trainer?

At all three of Hydropool's showrooms. Either at East Grinstead, (near Gatwick), Warwick or South Croydon. Toilet and changing facilities are available at our showrooms which are open seven days a week. If distance is an issue from where you live, we may well be able to organise a visit to one of our 1000 plus existing Swim Spa customers. Please telephone our nearest showroom and we will happily organise this for you.

How long will it take to install?

Provided any necessary ground excavations are completed or the pool is to be located above ground, it normally takes between 1 to 2 days. You will also need to allow up to 24 hours to fill the pool.

What happens if I move home?

You can take your Aqua Trainer with you! (Provided, of course, that the new location is suitable.) Some parts and equipment may need to be replaced, but the pool's shell is robust and completely portable. Ask our sales or technical staff for advice.
